Our Story

Jeff Scott founded Scott Turf Equipment in 2003 to support London Downs, where he served as superintendent for 10 years. His reel grinding expertise quickly gained recognition among local golf courses. As word spread, superintendents across Virginia and neighboring states noticed the improved equipment longevity and cut quality from our small shop in Lynchburg, VA.

Passing the Torch

After years of hard work, Jeff began teaching his sons, Jeffrey and Jackson, about the business. Now, with Jeff back in the golf industry as the superintendent of Mariners Landing Country Club, the sons manage operations of the company. They continue the tradition of reel grinding excellence taught by Steve Irby, ensuring superintendents and universities can rely on their cutting units year after year.
